Sunday fun at the beach

Today was such an amazing day at the beach. I had the time of my life. Me, Saki, Saki's cousin, and his girlfriend went to Taipei's beach. I got a kick-ass tan and Saki got sunburned all over. I also got third degree burns on my foot because I was not told in advance about our little trip to the beach so I wore shoes. However, sand likes to stick to your feet after getting out of the water and so on our way out I had nothing on but my bare feet. I thought I could handle it like a man, but halfway there it got a little ridiculously hot and then I started jogging up the hill. 3/4ths of the way up the hill, however, my manlihood lost the battle to hot sand and I started sprinting the rest of the way up the hill and sat down really quickly on the bench......man o man did it hurt. What hurt more was the fact that the other 3 people I came with saw the whole thing, as did the rest of the people walking on the beach. What was also fun was Saki's 24 year old cousin. He walked about a mile down the beach to take one of the floating balls. He also went the extra mile to get another ball he thought belonged to some other group of people. After about 30 minutes and when he came back the ball did not belong to the group of people he thought it belonged too. However, a guy came up to claim the OTHER ball. After a while he decided he wanted to play this game in which you call a number of another member of a circle and that person has to stand up and say "bong" whilst the 2 people beside that person have to wiggle their arms like a chicken and say something in which I am still unable to say, even after playing this game for about 2 hours. He then decided to ask a group of 12 year olds to play with us. At first they did not want to but his persistance paid off and they played. It was pretty awkward. Other than that it was a fun day at the beach. Anyways, I gotta go and get some rest, because I have a big day of facebooking, napping, and listening to the ipod tomorrow at work.

Shortage of Funds

As of right now, I only have 300NT left. For those who do not know how to calculate it, it is 33NT for every US dollar. That means I have only about 6 dollars left. I should have gotten paid this week, however since this gay ass girl did not sign the payroll sheet until yesterday it has delayed our payment until the beginning of next week. And since Saki does not have a job right now, we are currently both as broke as a joke. We are currently buying food at Seven Eleven which consists of raman noodles. I am so broke I may not be able to even buy smokes, which is very sad news. Hopefully I will not die of starvation during this weekend. Wish me luck on this very sad journey of "broke-ness" which I have a scary feeling will follow me throughout my adult years.

My job

Ok, so people want to know about life at the Taipei Zoo. I wake up around 6:50 a.m. Keep snoozing it until around 7:45 a.m. Get up and take a dumpies. Take a shower and get ready. Walk down an almost 90 degree downward hill whilst dodging the crazy ass drivers who really don't care about the people they hit or not. I walk for about five minutes and wait for my bus. Then I take a 15 minute bus ride all the way to the zoo. I get in the zoo and walk toward my building, then i go to a scary basement where the rest of the interns and I work. It is now 9am. If I am lucky I will either go take photos of dead animals, listen to lectures, or take a tour of the zoo. If i am unlucky I will sit by the computer all day. I then order bien dan, which can be very scary considering you have no idea what your lunch is going to be until you open it up...............and find A FREAKIN CREEPY ASS FISH THAT DOESN'T SEEMED TO BE COOKED!!!!! That happened more than once and i had to eat plain white rice for lunch on those days. After lunch I usually work with other American interns at the zoo on our final project. This project is a presentation on an aspect of the zoo. So far, working on this project consists of going to eat ice cream, sleeping, going on facebook, listening to the ipod, or cryin in the corner cause this job is soo boring. Then it reaches 5pm and i get to go home. That is a typical day at the zoo.
this is rice wine speaking (that was especially for Doris). I just wanted to say hello to Rob's family. I will take care of him for all of you.
